I love colors and as a result I don't wear much of gray, brown, or black.
However, we all agree that these nuetral "colorless" colors can serve as a good foundation and build up an interesting outfit on top. Take gray as example. Technically speaking, gray comes from two equal parts of the complementary colors, such as red and green, orange and blue, or yellow and purple. So you can match your gray pretty much with either side of the color wheel and let that color "pop".
Pink is one of my favorite colors of all time. So I decide to let it pop. :)
On the side note, today's outfit costs less than 100 bucks, without the necklace.
