I rarely write reviews on fashion items as everybody is different and has various requirement on fit, material and comfort level. It's hard to make blanket statement when it comes to a piece of clothing, shoes, or just anything for that matter. :)
However, to express my appreciation to a good friend of mine who notified me on timely manner to grab this pair pants at a super killer sale price, I would like to share some thoughts with you today.
This is J Brand Midrise Cord Jeans in Lavish color. My friend warned me that some people had to go a size up, but it didn't seem a problem for me. My regular size on jeans just works for this pair as well.
During recent years, we have heard of lots of raves on this new kid on the block, J Brand. From the Duchess of Cambridge to numerous celebrities, to my friends and colleagues all have something good to say about their favorite pair/pairs of jeans by J Brand. :) I, however, was not very adventurous when it comes to trying on jeans. It's a process of frustration and crushing self esteem as I never like my big thighs and short legs. ;) It took me years to finally dip in water of "skinnies".
It's a true mid rise, sitting on just below the belly button. It's very stretchy, which I think is the core problem of confusing people when they have to choose the correct size.
The other detail I have noticed is the stretchy waist band. This reminds me of the trick that a "baby boomer" designer often uses on her jeans to fit various body types within the same size range. This makes sense and muffin top friendly to some extent. But at the same time it also tells us that seriously, that little number marked on your jeans no longer means anything important. :)
Anyhow, enough babbling, here is my outfit today. The true color is between the ASOS website picture and mine. It's a deep rich wine hue, not eggplant nor brick red. :)
