Dress Down

I admit that I hate this cliche of "You can dress it up or dress it down". You often hear someone, who claims to be a fashionista simply because of their status as a celebrity, saying this when they are asked about fashion. It just drives me crazy. :( Should I mention any name?

However, I chose it as the title of this blog entry as it's time to play with a seemingly serious piece, such as a pencil skirt.

I work at a place with an extremely casual environment with lots of creativity and imagination. Dress code is non existent. "This could be heaven and this could be hell" since really sky is the limit when it comes to what to wear to work. :) I probably own one suit but have never had chance to wear them. My day-to-day outfits are pretty much a good mixture of everything, from leather to lace, jacket to skirt...I am very drawn to J.crew's colorfulness every season. Their No. 2 pencil skirts come in a rainbow of colors. This actually "breaks down" the seriousness of this classic sihouette. They can be dressed down, easily.





I don't know what the "best ways" are to dress but here is one of my ways. If this gives some inspiration to some of you, life is good; if not, please don't hate me for being myself. :)
