While the Queen Elizabeth II is ready to celebrite her Diamond Jubilee (60 years) over the weekend, I would like to write something about other queens, those who are crowned as queen of accessories. :)
I personally love anything that could accessorize an outfit, either a scarf, a pin, a necklace, a belt, a bag, or just anything else in that catagory. There's a saying in the fashion world of "Accessories make an outfit". I truly believe that. In some dull days when I really have no idea what I should wear, I would simply add a vintage brooch to a plain sweater, or a scarf with bold color or interesting prints to an all black outfit. I take lessons from these fashion queens.

Madonna 80's punk by mixing classic pearls with heavy metals
Kate Moss....well you can pretty much learn everything about accessorizing from her. She rocks scarves, sunglasses, funky necklace...

Last but not least the new Duchess of Cambrige and her hats

My today's look majorly is focused on the contrast between a statement necklace and a soft silk blouse. :)
For those who are interested to see what bottom I have on, it's J.crew High-waisted Buckle shorts.

Hi Katherine, yeah, these women are remembered as "fashion icon" for their own reasons. Rumor has it that a few years ago some of Liz Taylor's collectible jewelry went on auction, including some of her brooches.
